The International Bureau of Special Investigations is looking for civic-minded citizens willing to volunteer their time to improve the quality of life in their community, their country and the world. Individuals interested in serving as IBSI volunteers must be willing to serve a minimum of 4 hours a week. Experience as investigators is not necessary. If you meet the minimum requirements shown below, you may apply by sending your resume via e-mail to: hq@ibsi-1.org.

SUPPORT STAFF
These volunteers assist IBSI with many administrative tasks such as callbacks to victims, interview of service applicants, data entry, filing, copying, fingerprinting, microfilming, statistical reports, supply distribution, and training of fellow volunteers. Support volunteers may not need to attend IBSI Academy. 

SPECIAL INVESTIGATORS
IBSI Special Investigators conduct many tasks in support of local, state, and federal criminal justice agencies, and also conduct criminal, civil and humanitarian investigations as part of our non-profit mission at the request of the authorities or as mandated by the Board of Directors. To be certified as an IBSI Special Investigator, applilcants must successfully complete IBSI Academy's Basic Investigator Training. 

Minimum Requirements

Age: 18 years of age or older. No maximum age limit.

Citizenship: Must be a citizen,  legal resident alien, or authorized visitor.

Education: High school graduate (active high school students may apply)

Languages: Any. 

References: Two personal references (not family members)..

Other: 

    - No prior criminal convictions.

    - No prior or current violations of immigration laws of any country

    - Not be in conflict of interests with IBSI.

After your resume is received and your references are contacted, we will conduct a full criminal and personal background investigation. Once the investigation is completed, you will be given instructions where to report for training (if applicable). You do not have to attend IBSI Academy Training if you are a graduate of a training program or specialty approved by the Board of Directors.
